- Sir Basil Spence Centenary Year
2007 is the centenary year of the birth of Sir Basil Spence, the architect of Broughton Place. Events celebrating his life are planned throughout the year, culminating in a landmark exhibition organised by the National Galleries of Scotland. - Dianne King, has won the 2007 Russell Trust Award in the Visual Arts Scotland (VAS) annual exhibition which was held recently at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh.
