Landscape photographer Liz Hanson’s images of Broughton Place are permanently available at the gallery as greetings cards and her framed prints feature in the gallery’s   Winter 2006  exhibition, November 19 to December 24 2006.

Liz was given a Brownie 127 camera in the 1960s by her parents which started her love affair with photography. The other, and more enduring gift from them was an interest in the natural world. Both these passions run in parallel in Liz's work. She is intrigued by the endless interplay between light and shapes in the landscape. Most of her photographs are taken in Southern Scotland where she has lived for 35 years.

Publications include 'Images of Peeblesshire ' and 'Heartland' (in conjunction with Alistair Moffat, and which is also available at the gallery).
